Pawsome Visit to IKEA Doncaster
30 April 2026
Canine Companions at Work: Spencer Clarke Group Share Their Experience
20 May 2026We had a packed Mental Health Awareness Week with no less than four visits to businesses and universities across Yorkshire, and that included a double delivery to Amazon in Wakefield, with events at their DSA6 fulfilment centre on Tuesday and Friday.
Last time we came here was in the middle of 2025's summer heat wave, but these were more chilled sessions in every sense – pawfect packages of smiles, strokes and stress relief.
Tuesday saw Cocker Spaniel Opie, Labrador Cayt, Cockapoo Star and our rescue Harry distribute cuddles and snuggles around the room.
Harry had never met Cayt before, so there was some initial excitement before he calmed down and took prime spot on a blue cushion to soak up the strokes, while Cayt was her usual social butterfly self, working her way around the room to see who offered the most fuss.

The reviews were left in real time, and as always they were all positive:
"I LOVE this"
"Can we do it every week?"
"I might just stay here all day"
"5 stars – would stroke again" (we might have made that one up, but you get the idea).
On Friday there was a substitution, with Sally stepping in for Star, but the energy was just as good – relaxed and laid-back (literally in Opie’s case, she spent most of the session with her tummy facing the ceiling).
It’s fair to say the staff left mentally fulfilled – certainly no refund requests here.
Mental Health Awareness Week might be all boxed off but we’re continuing to spread the message, heading into a new week working with businesses and universities near you.
It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with organisations that put people wellbeing high on the priority list, so if you’d like some paws on your floor, click to order a visit!
