Coaching for first time managers
Developing your leaders
Mindset is one of the most crucial components in becoming a leader. Yet, so often, the onus is on our newly promoted managers to a) recognise this and b) develop it. At which point, irreparable damage may already have been done resulting in poor team morale, low presenteeism, high turnover and poor performance.
Not only is this practice detrimental to the business, but it can be devastating for the individual, impacting their self confidence and preventing them from ever going on to reach their full potential.

Our approach
Setting your managers up for success
Your investment has to deliver quick, effective and lasting results. However for some people, coaching may be a completely new experience which can create unease; not a feeling that’s conducive to fulfilling your potential.
Coaching sessions often take place within the working day. People may have come straight from another meeting, they likely have a task list as long as their arm and they have a million and one things on their mind. Just as they’re finally starting to relax into their session, it’s over! This is exactly why we created Moment to Paws coaching for first time managers. Incorporating a dog into the coaching session helps people to immediately switch off to external distractions, getting the most out of every session.
Canine assisted coaching also creates an environment that enables new managers to:

- Release endorphins; making people more conducive to ‘aha’ moments
- Lower stress and anxiety; creating an environment in which you thrive
- Provide an external subject to focus on; making it easier to have open conversation about ourselves
- Increase our ability to establish quick rapport; so we can focus on what’s important
- Increase focus and attention; helping people to achieve their goals
- Provide comfort; for those inevitable moments of release
- Remove brain fog; allowing people to think more clearly, without the background noise
- Break tension; to help remove those roadblocks
